about

Two women walk together on a city sidewalk, dressed in vintage-style clothing with hats and sunglasses. One woman holds an umbrella and a bag, and the other has her hands in her pockets. They stand near bollards and bags on the sidewalk.

When I travel, I’m always drawn to photographing the people who live and work in the places I visit. It’s not just because they’ve shaped the communities I’m passing through, but because I recognize something familiar in them: reflections of the people in my own city and the places I’ve called home. I realized that in my everyday routine, I was overlooking the chance to capture and share the faces and stories of those who make Oklahoma City, and Oklahoma, what it is.
